Meet the people behind Wild Voice
Wild Voice brings together experienced equine osteopaths who share a whole-horse view, a respect for the individual and a commitment to thoughtful professional collaboration.
France de la Cour
Founder and equine osteopath
France has worked with horses and osteopathy since 2010, bringing 16 years of specific equine experience to Wild Voice. Her work combines structural, visceral, cranial and craniosacral osteopathy, with a particular interest in rehabilitation, sensitive horses and the complex cases in which the full story has not yet been understood.
Her foundation is a Bachelor of Science in Osteopathy from the University of Wales, awarded in 2005. She completed Applied Equine Biomechanics training in 2011 and has since pursued extensive postgraduate study in equine health, behaviour and osteopathy.
France has completed 12 of the 13 modules at the Vluggen Institute for Equine Osteopathy and is working towards her final examination, planned for 2027, with the intention of joining the REDOI. She is also continuing her EDO studies through the Vluggen Institute.
Her approach is practical, curious and collaborative. She works closely with veterinary surgeons and other equine professionals when a horse needs further investigation or a broader rehabilitation team.
Qualifications and continuing study
BSc Osteopathy, University of Wales, 2005
Applied Equine Biomechanics, 2011
Equine Psychology Diploma with Distinction, 2022
12 of 13 Vluggen Institute equine osteopathy modules completed
EDO studies through the Vluggen Institute
France has also explored animal communication and related complementary disciplines as personal interests. Although osteopathy remains at the heart of Wild Voice, this broader understanding forms part of her distinctive and highly perceptive approach to each horse. Where she feels it may be helpful, France may draw upon elements of this experience at her professional discretion, using them as a complement to her osteopathic assessment and treatment rather than as separate services.
Virginie Host
Equine osteopath and associate practitioner
Virginie brings more than four decades of clinical experience and a remarkable depth of osteopathic knowledge to the Wild Voice team.
She originally qualified as a physiotherapist in Strasbourg in 1985 before completing a BSc (Hons) in Osteopathy in London in 2003. She went on to gain a master’s degree in Paediatric Osteopathy in 2009 and qualified as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner in 2020.
Throughout her career, Virginie has continued to study a wide range of gentle and integrative osteopathic approaches. Her postgraduate training includes cranial osteopathy with the Upledger Institute and the Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy, biodynamic osteopathy with Dr James Jealous, and visceral osteopathy through the Barral Institute. She has also undertaken specialist training in neural, fascial and functional techniques, women’s health, trauma and rehabilitation.
Her lifelong passion for horses eventually led her to extend this extensive human clinical experience into equine practice. Virginie graduated in Equine Osteopathy from the Vluggen Institute for Equine Osteopathy in May 2026. She is also a member and examiner of REDOI, contributing to the development and maintenance of professional standards within equine osteopathy.
Virginie approaches every horse as a whole. Rather than concentrating solely on the area where symptoms appear, she considers the relationships between the musculoskeletal system, nervous system, fascia, viscera and the horse’s wider physical and emotional experience.
Her work is particularly gentle, thoughtful and precise. Her experience in paediatrics, trauma, rehabilitation and nervous-system regulation gives her a valuable perspective when working with sensitive horses, complex presentations and cases requiring patience and careful listening.
Virginie is based in High Barnet and currently works within locations accessible by public transport, generally up to approximately one hour by train. Her wider visiting area will soon be mapped.
A collaborative practice
France and Virginie share a deeply holistic understanding of osteopathy. France brings sixteen years of dedicated equine experience and a particularly subtle approach to the individual horse, while Virginie brings an exceptional breadth and depth of classical osteopathic and clinical knowledge. Together, they offer a collaborative approach grounded in curiosity, compassion and true osteopathic principles.
Wild Voice is being developed as a small, carefully chosen team rather than a high-volume service. The aim is to connect owners with practitioners who value thorough assessment, long-term thinking and respectful collaboration with the horse's existing veterinary and professional support network.
