What is Equine Systemic Coaching?

France de la Cour Equine Osteopathy Tonbridge kent Equine Assisted Learning constellation personal development

Since 2020 I offer Equine Systemic Coaching alongside being a Bodyworker for the horse & the hound. I have had the privilege to train with Shivaun Woolfson in Robertsbridge, and carry on developing my skills at her yard regularly.

Equine Systemic Coaching is a form of alternative personal development coaching. It mixes Equine Assisted Personal development and concepts of family Constellations.

A session happens outside, in the field. It typically starts with a chat about what you want to work on in the session: Something that is bothering you in your life, things you want to understand, shift, get unstuck or drop. Or sometimes, it can just be a desire to have more clarity about a certain situation. Once the intention is well defined and clear, we follow with a gentle, grounding, mindfulness meditation. It is only then that we enter the horses’ field. And that’s when the magic happens… Horses form a herd, and their natural instinct is to care for each other, as the herd is only as strong as the weakest link. They show us where the “point of most pressure” is within the herd. This means that they react to emotional pressures and incongruences. When we enter their herd, we become a part of it, and they will start to react and adjust to our presence, and our intention.

My work is then to observe the horses as they move naturally around the field, and monitor what is happening for you, if any emotions are being triggered from their presence and their actions. The therapeutic aspect happens by combining healing sentences to repeat along with the horses’ deep presence. Together, it brings insight and healing, comfort, guidance and the most beautiful, natural and powerful sense of love and empathy. It is truly magical.

I offer 1-1 sessions with a lovely herd in Forest Row. Although less ideal, there is also a possibility to work with your own horse/herd.

The exchange is £70 for a session ( average of 1 hour).
